On today’s episode, Emma Kent joins Derek and Brad (0:23) to solve the great country caper. Has the whole world gone country? Is it aliens beaming back a radio signal that took years to reach their planet? Was there a hijinks at the station? Are they trying to prepare us for their new format and still don’t believe we’ve gotten the message? Are they simply trying to get Alan Jackson’s attention? And will it ever stop or has everyone gone country forever? Look at ‘dem boots and tune in to find out.
Also on today’s show, Zack Orsborn (14:08) discusses the new spoken word program that the Police Athletic League has launched with poet Asia Rainey. Rainey will create workshops that will spread her knowledge of spoken word and creative writing to local teens. While her workshops are not athletics related, spoken word still contains a competitive edge.
M. Scott Morris (22:26) reviews “Mechanic: Resurrection.” Derek (28:10) highlights this week’s entertainment scene – Tupelo Summerfest Fair, Iuka Heritage Festival, “Tinker” and remembering the best Gene Wilder movies.
