Scott Morris (8:38) joins Emma Kent and Derek Russell on today’s episode to review “Murder on the Orient Express.”
Scott said he wasn’t a fan of the mystery, as it has too many coincidences. But the end is satisfying, and the acting is great. And Scott also enjoyed the transportive ride to another time and place.
Also on today’s episode, Ginna Parsons (18:03) talks about this week’s food section. That includes a recipe for roasted brussels sprouts that includes shallots, maple and mustard.
Ginna also talks about this week’s Cook of the Week, retired Tupelo School District librarian Janice Garrett. Garrett grew up around gardening. Her knack for cooking was inspired by her family’s love for eating. Among her specialties is a chocolate pie recipe.
Meanwhile, the First United Methodist Church in Houston will host its annual Fall Bazaar today.
And Derek (26:46) has the highlights of the weekend entertainment scene. That includes the “Hope for the Holidays” fundraiser for the North Mississippi Dance Centre. Also, TCT Off Broadway will present “At Wit’s End,” and the Lyric Theatre will celebrate its 105th birthday with an open house on Sunday.
