Mississippi Superintendent of Education Carey Wright said on Wednesday that the state will take no action in terms of requiring local school districts to ensure transgender students can use the bathroom of the sex of which they identify. That reversed an earlier announcement that Mississippi would adhere to new guidelines sent out by the federal government.
